READ AND BE INSPIRED

Nelson Mandela

I would like to leave you bloggers with this picture of our hero and freedom fighter Nelson Mandela and when ever you feel as if the world is crashing down on you, take a pause and look at this picture of him and think of what he would say in that situation and as the holidays are around the corner I would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone who has participated in my blog and those who are big fans for music just like me. May God be with you through out the holidays and protect you.

What would I do without my precious bloggers? The answer to that is so easy because without my bloggers I would just die lol....but seriously doing this blog about music has made me realize that the people who are responsible for making music are very gifted and should be appreciated.Any kind of music is simply music whether it is choral music or Christmas carols music is just music to me so my bloggers enjoy your holidays to the fullest. I'm leaving you guys with these inspiring words from Steve Job...."Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary".

SEXY SPAIN SINGER

Enrique Iglesias

This Spanish artist, song writer and actor has a way through a woman's heart. His songs will melt your heart, I knew that Spanish people are good looking but did not believe they are so sexy, well if you tell me different we would sure have a heated argument.Enrique's most listened to song is Hero. This songs will definitely make you drop a tear. His type of music is very versatile because in his album he also has dance music like TAKING BACK MY LOVE but his music will always have some romantic element. Enrique's hero song sends out a message that when you are hurting whether hurt by your lover or family, let someone be your hero, let that person take your pain and make things better. How can you not want to listen to his gorgeous voice?. Every time I listen to his music it just makes my heart pound faster and makes me think of how the would have been like if there was no love music or in fact no music at all. The world would be a very quiet place and people would not have a way to express themselves because most people express themselves through music. I know there are people out there who would disagree with what I'm saying because they believe that without music there would be no violence and crime, well we can not blame music for those things we can only blame ourselves.

This goes out to all my music lovers, I hope you will have a blast this weekend.....................c yall next week *signing out*

MAMA AFRICA

https://www.google.co.za/search?q=pictures+of+miriam+makeba
Miriam Makeba , famously known as Mama Africa was a Grammy award winning South African singer  and civil rights activist. In the 1960's she was the first artist from Africa to popularize African music around the world.Miriam was mostly known for her song called Pata Pata which was released in the U.S in 1967. South African music has always been seen as unique because of the many different languages we have and also the different cultures.

Our mothers and grandfathers grew up listening to Miriam Makeba's songs because of the way she sang, to me her voice is purely African. Everywhere you go you would hear a child singing the Pata Pata song.

I am proudly South African and also proud of the artists we have. The music industry is not a place for the fragile people so I salute all artists who have made a name for themselves and for their music...***standing proud***

RELAX AND LET THE SOUND OF MUSIC SWIFT YOU AWAY

Music lesson Staatliche Antikensammlungen 2421.jpg
Ancient Greeks playing a Harp music instrument

Music is an art form that focuses or is based mostly on sound and rhythm. The name music comes from a Greek word 'mousike'. Music comes from way back even during biblical periods where they used to play the Harp instrument. Harp  instruments were the most common string instruments that were used during that time whether in celebrations or just in casual gatherings. You ask your self a question, who invented music?....Well research says that music was invented by a prehistorical man as evidence found in cave dwellings suggests, but others say that music was invented by the sound of the animals during the ancient times so basically there is no concrete evidence on who really invented music.

For many people in many cultures music is an important part of their lives. As the time changed  as well as people, music  started to develop  new different sounds like soft sounds, loud sounds. Soft sounds is now associated with romantic music because of its slow and smooth sound, while loud music is associated with rock music because of its hard loud sound. Ever since music developed it never stopped. Each and every month even a day a new sound is being created.

I am a big die hard fan of music and I believe that music will never die or forgotten no matter how the circumstances may be in future. #smiling all the way# ...

THE LOVE OF MUSIC

Alright my bloggers i know that we live in a world that is occupied by different people who have different views about everything whether it affects them or not.Music is one of the things that makes the world go  round, everyone is taken by music. There is always that special song for everyone, for every mood whether it makes you sad or happy.Music has a way of taking control of our lives, although it is good in a way but there are negative things that are influenced by music. Hip- hop rappers are sometimes blamed for influencing violence and the use of vulgar languages mostly in young people.Music is very unique because it has many different genres that cater for everyone's taste. In my opinion it seems like music is  taking over the world  because everywhere you go you see someone listening to music whether in a car, salon, restaurant or just someone walking down the street is listening to music. SO TELL ME BLOGGERS, WHAT DOES MUSIC DO TO YOU?

MUSIC FOR THE HEART,MIND AND BODY

https://www.google.co.za/search?q=picture+of+music

Every person leans to particular kind of music. In fact, one way of telling the kind of personality someone has is on the kind of music he usually listens to. But more than just a means of self-expression, music can also have a soothing effect to one’s spirit, soul, and mind. It gives us a relaxing feeling by calming our nerves and relieving tension from our body. Just by listening to music, our mood can change dramatically, from being stressed up to a relaxed state in minutes.
Here are some examples of relaxing music you might want to try:
*    Classical Music:  Waltz, Lullaby, and Baroque Music are very good for relaxation. Oftentimes they are used before bedtime to prepare for a good night’s sleep. You can try famous works of Brahm, Mozart, and Strauss for starters.
*     Acoustic Music: Instruments that are natural-sounding and have their own resonance are very appealing and pleasing to the ears. Guitar or piano solo such as arpeggios are excellent for this kind of music.
*     New Age : Non-electronic instruments are used extensively in this kind of music. Instruments are particularly those with cool, mellow sounds like flutes, chimes, harpsichords, didgeridoos, and bells.
*   Sound Effects : Though not necessarily music (it is not melodic), sounds of nature has the same calming effect as those from man-made musical instruments. The sound of waterfalls, brooks, and soft patter of rain will lull your senses and give you that good night’s rest.
Some people like listening to rock music when they relax or sleep. It’s fine as long as it gets them to calm their nerves; the kind of music doesn't matter. We’re all different and respond differently to a particular kind of music. Besides, the type of mood  will also have an effect on the type of music a person would like to listen to.
Music as a stress relief: Studies conducted on the effects of music to a person’s well-being showed that relaxation music can actually relieve some stress and muscular tension and some cases of sleep disorder and even depression. Furthermore, soothing music also stimulates the production of anti-depressants such as endorphin and serotonin to help fight the negative effects of stress.
Music for the heart: It also helps in maintaining a healthy heart by lowering the heart rate and blood pressure. This is true with slow, rhythmic music. You can actually prove this by comparing your pulse rate before and after you listen to relaxation music. This slower rate helps your brain, heart, and lung functions in absorption of minerals and nutrients in the bloodstream. http://journalweek.com/soothing-effect-of-music/

South African music is very unique compared to other countries.South African music was started by the Khoisan people.SA music differs from other artists or music because of the unique musical instruments that are used to produce music.Enoch Sontonga is one of the greatest music composers in South Africa. As the time changes, music also changes too.We start to adapt the sound of music from other countries to improve or produce new sounds that will cater for for everyone."Uniquely African music aside, the South African music scene has, to a large extent, been characterized by bands seeking to emulate popular genres abroad. However, recent years have seen South African music begin to develop a truly original sound". America on the other hand are still growing in the music industry but the most language they use when singing is English while in South Africa we have different languages in music.

As we are people with different views and cultures can we compare these two countries in music and distinguish which is the best?

Welcome to South African music v.s Western music.

Please feel free to comment and shaire your views about the matter.
